A water filled ditch here in S'side, one of my projects as councillor is to accelerate in-filling as they are a health hazard.
One of the projects near & dear to my heart is to get the open ditches in our fair city filled in on an accelerated schedule to remove this hazard in a timely manner. They are not only a hazard to our little children & small animals but a breeding ground for mosquitoes and god only know what else.
I also want to find ways to have the city pay more so to be less of a burden on our homeowners. With the increase in our tax base, good budgeting & proper financial planning I believe this is possible.

Congrates on putting your name up for office. Have not heard of any new candidates other than you and that Thomas fellow in Wilmot running.
I think it's wonderful for someone to put their hat into the political ring...we do need change in Summerside. I did notice the picture of the ditch used was in the vivanlee trailer park...is that private property? Can the city enforce ditch infilling there? And if so....Great!! I have many questions I would like all the candidates to answer...but will start with just a few. How do you feel about the Wellness Centre being in the west end of the city, where the majority of children in that area cannot afford to use the facility?
What is your thoughts on the cost of hockey for our youth? What ideas do you have to keep costs down? When it comes to ice time in the rink our local kids seem to take a back seat to the Western Capital players. We do pay big money for our kids to play. Thanks for reading and your answers. I think it is sad that someone should have to leave their home & families to make a decent living. I can understand why & hope they relize all their dreams, have a good life, make lots of money, retire & move back to good ol' PEI to enjoy their golden years with their families in the best part (PEI)of the best country (CANADA)in the world.
